In late 2018 it was an honour to have Scientia professor Andrew Martin and Associate Professor Ken Sinclair presenting the 90th Anniversary Harold Wyndham memorial lecture.
From far and wide people gathered in the John Goodsell Building at UNSW Kensington Campus, to hear Scientia Professor Andrew Martin address on 'harnessing evolutionary educational psychology to improve educational outcomes and beyond'. Associate Professor Ken Sinclair then followed with his reflections on the long and noble 90 year history of the NSW Institute for Education Research (to read, click here). A brief power-point was presented (see below) on the history of the NSWIER, by Dr Natasha Wardman (ACU), and the organisation cast it's mind to the giants who had come before.
Much levity was then enjoyed over the cutting of the commemorative cake, and a great dinner had by all.
We look forward to hearing from Professor Carmal Cefai, deliver the 2019 Wyndham Address, planned for June. Watch out for registration details!
